Fedele's Pilot House

The late Dr. Alexander Graham Bell designed and built several yachts in conjunction with Walter Pinaud of Baddeck, Nova Scotia. Pinaud went on to found the Pinaud Yacht yards. (Currently operated by Tom Fuller) Today in the Eastern States and many parts of Canada the name Pinaud is synonymous with high quality yachts. Pinaud went on to design and build many boats for Bell, "Fedele" was built we understand for Walter Pinaud's personal use and the combination of white steamed oak and mahogany was certainly above all expect ions of a boat built within this era due to the high costs involved in the use of mahogany planking!

Her spars and mast built of sitka spruce are still as original today as the day they were made, registered with Lloyds of London to Fedele investments she later was used as a training vessel for the Landmark institution in Massachusetts later falling into the private sector where the enclosed wheelhouse was added prior her recent purchase in 2003 by Captain Roy Reed who extensively re-fitted "Fedele" equipping her bare electronics to surpass even Dr Alexandra Graham Bell's wildest dreams! To date "Fedele" has provided opportunities for challenged students and school children to overcome their adversity's, enabled hands on education for adults and their children enabling all to touch nature and life as one!
